FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

AgriGates’ AgNotate™: Transforming Animal Behavior and Welfare Research.

Philadelphia, PA – August 2024 – Following a successful launch event at their Engineering office in Arvada, Colorado, AgriGates is excited to provide an update on AgNotate™, our revolutionary machine-learning software designed to streamline the annotation of animal behavior, events, and welfare indicators. This tool is already making waves in the agricultural research community, offering unparalleled efficiency and accuracy in data processing.

AgNotate™ is more than just a software launch; it’s a significant step forward in addressing the complex challenges of modern food production systems. By automating the data annotation process, AgNotate™ allows researchers to focus on what truly matters—improving the welfare and health of food animals in diverse and complex agricultural settings.

Highlights from the Launch Event

The official launch of AgNotate™ was celebrated with industry experts and special guests at the AgriGates engineering office. The event featured presentations from key team members, including Forest Valentine, System Integration Engineer; Matthew Brause, Mathematician, ML and Backend Engineer; and Eric Sobczak, Embedded Systems Engineer. These talented engineers, all graduates of the Colorado School of Mines, played pivotal roles in bringing AgNotate™ to life.

The event also featured a presentation by Dr. Jim Reynold, DVM, who emphasized the critical role of innovative tools like AgNotate™ in advancing food animal welfare. Daniel Foy, Co-Founder and CEO of AgriGates, discussed the development challenges, market need, and the anticipated impact of AgNotate™ on the future of food animal agriculture. “We’re incredibly excited to see AgNotate™ in action, one of the three industrial parts of an AI platform, which starts with managing data and training models. This tool not only enhances the efficiency of data annotation but also significantly contributes to the improvement of animal welfare and research efficacy. Thanks to our academic research partners here in PA, PSU Animal Science Department, and Penn Vet, and their feedback. We are looking forward to the future, and this is just the first of many other tools we have in the pipeline.” Foy remarked.

What’s Next for AgNotate™?

Since its launch, AgNotate™ has been adopted by early research partners in the PA research community across Swine and Dairy sectors. As we approach the broader public release on GitHub marketplace online in September, we are eager to see the wider impact of this tool on the industry.

To learn more about how AgNotate™ can transform your research and operations, listen to our latest LiveStack Podcast episode, which features in-depth discussions with the engineering team behind the software. This episode provides valuable insights into the tool’s capabilities and its potential to revolutionize data annotation in agriculture.
